Our FightFit Family is made up of the best trainers in Australia. We hand pick instructors who have fought/trained/taught at an elite level so you know you are learning from people who have lived and breathed combat sports.

Our strength and conditioning coaches have also trained and worked with athletes at the highest levels and we are so lucky to be able to access their wealth of knowledge and experience. To get a feel for each trainer read their bio or check out their videos below.





Nick Kara

Former WMTA light cruiserweight world champion, ISKAL light cruiserweight Australian Champion and IKBF Australian cruiserweight champion, Nick’s world class fighting experience makes his boxing and kickboxing sessions packed with good technique, intense fitness and fight based training. He has fought and trained all around the world – you may have seen him on the Ultimate Fighter Series where he was the striking coach.

Francesco Rea

Francesco has been involved in martial arts for over 30 years, first competing in amateur kickboxing and boxing and later transitioning to full contact Kyokushin Karate competing in Japan, New Zealand, UAE and Australia. After being awarded his 3rd Dan black belt in Kyokushin Karate, Francesco started training in Brazilian jiu jitsu as part of the Australian Elite team, competing in Gi and no Gi competitions and is a regular training partner of UFC fighters when in Melbourne.

Francesco is available to train 1 on 1 or group sessions from beginner to the professional athlete.

Lewis Kelaher

An accredited exercise scientist, former triathlete, and now amateur fighter, Lewis combines an understanding of physiology with a technical appreciation for boxing to create demanding and rewarding training programs for his clients.

Phillip Catalucci

As a highly experienced fitness professional with an extensive knowledge of functional, sports specific, weight loss, general health & fitness training, Phil has a proven ability to deliver optimum support and training to ensure all clients achieve their desired goals. Phil has trained amateur (and professional) fighters from the ground level all the way through to Olympians and Commonwealth Games boxers.

Diana Thumm

Diana is an accomplished amateur boxer who’s never give up attitude transfers into her personal training sessions.

Faisal Fayad

As a fighter, Faisal’s grit, determination and skill saw him win titles at both State and National levels. he brings that same attitude to his clients for boxing, kickboxing and strength sessions.

Tony Torcasio

Tony has won Victorian, East Coast and Australian titles during his kickboxing career, with an equally impressive boxing record, remaining undefeated during his time in the ring.

Pharrell Shaymar

Known as the “Pad Technician” Pharrell gives his clients a full body work out through the art of striking. He can take you through pads for both boxing and kickboxing to ensure you leave the gym totally satisfied.

Ruan Kotze

Ruan has an extensive list of qualifications including: a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise science, CrossFit level 1 coach certification, and a registered Boxing and Personal Trainer.
